Yesterday, Google’s Blogger team introduced probably the most long awaited upgrade to the system ever, the ability to import and export in and out of Blogger powered blogs. For people like me who’ve been running their personal blogs there since the system’s inception, we’ve all been tempted to migrate away completely, or go through our extensive archives and edit out the sections that don’t necessarily fit the editorial standards the current incarnations of our blogs are at.
At this point, your choices are no longer limited to closing off an old blog and starting a new one, but one of several options. You can now merge two or more blogs into one, move individual posts from blog to blog, or back up the blog locally or to a different platform altogether.
